About Moving in a few months and need more to do then work! What is there to do near Aurora Colorado

Moving in a few months and need more to do then work! What is there to do near Aurora Colorado?
We live in Northern New England and my best friend is doing an internship for grad school in Aurora, CO from January til sometime in May. I want to get her something for that she can do when she's in the area. For example movie tickets, gift certificate to a restaurant, etc. But I don't know what the best places are for that. She'll be working a lot and only knows one person in the area. What else is there to do in the area? (she doesn't ski or snowboard) What are the best places to hang out? best bars? best dance clubs? Are there any cheap gyms? She likes the outdoors (hiking, bike riding, ice skating, running etc). Loves to dance and just relaxing. Please any information would be a great help!!!

Aurora is an eastern suburb of Denver. Lots of outdoors activities plus big city sports

Don't know about clubs or bars - I'm old and don't do that anymore A few thoughts. A membership in Denver Bicycle Touring Club. Great place to meet interesting athletic folks. http://www.dbtc.org/ A membership in Colorado Mountain Club. They have hikes all over the state plus various singles events. Again great place to meet interesting athletic folks in an outdoor setting. http://www.cmc.org/ A Colorado State Park Pass. There are several very nice state parks near Aurora, Cherry Creek and Castlewood Canyon are particular favorites. http://parks.state.co.us/ParksPasses/Pages/ParksPassInfo.aspx

Ummmmm, hide from the bullets flying from all the gangsters, the police chasing the gangsters, and the police showing off their muscle even if you are NOT around the gangsters. Really? I wouldn't go out alone in daylight in Aurora. You want outdoors activities? Go West.

About Where is the best place to live in Denver for a young professional family (work in Arora)

Where is the best place to live in Denver for a young professional family (work in Arora)?
I'm moving from Melbourne, Australia to Denver next year with my wife, working at the hospital in Aurora. I have a 1 and 3 yr old. From what I hear Aurora isn't great to live in. What's a good suburb to live in? Should I try Boulder or is the commute too long?

Boulder is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far! You're looking at, like an hour and a half minimum during rush hour! I wouldn't live that far. Try Thornton. My friend moved there, and she loves it! It's kinda cookie cutterish, the houses all look the same, but it's clean, and she says the schools are really good! Plus, it's much closer.

Boulder is not an option, unless you want to spend your life and your paycheck commuting. During Rush hour it woudl take well over an hour each way. I am quessing your going to be working at the Anshutz medical complex. Stapleton is a good option, it is a newer development in Denver. It is the repurposed old Airport. It is more expensive than other areas, but it is nice. The proplem with blanketing Aurora is that Aurora is huge in area. It runs basically 20 miles or so from south east denver to east of parker. WIthout knowing your price range, your commuting destination or your preferences, I would say start with Lowery and Stapleton. If you want more affordable but a little further try green valley ranch or reunion in commerce city.

Boulder is great, but it would be a long drive. Take a look at Lowery. It is a beautiful planned community that facilitates walking and getting to know your neighbors. Houses range from moderate to expensive. It is not just another boring 'burb but instead, a vibrant community. There are several hospitals in Aurora, but Lowery wouldn't be a bad drive from any of them. http://www.lowry.org/

About where can I work if I'm 15 years old and I live in Aurora, CO

Where can I work if I'm 15 years old and I live in Aurora, CO?
I need a job ASAP and I live in Aurora, CO and I'm very close to Denver. I was thinking things like McDonalds but they don't take kids under 16 even with a work permit. I'm just two months away from turning 16 though.

Hey, I was just in Aurora Colorado or a vacation! What a small world, lol. Any way, I knew this girl who is 14 and she worked at McDonalds, so I don't know about that. You can work around your neighborhood (mow lawns, paper route, help people, ect.) You could try other fast food places. Hope this helped!

try looking for a company that is in need of an apprentice. This might be your best shot. Most of the big corporations won't hire anyone under 18. A small business owner would be more likely to hire you. Good luck!

You are probably not going to get a job in Fox Valley Mall, Farm & Fleet, or the big grocery chains. Try looking at small stores, or check with your neighbors about baby sitting, snow shoveling, helping older people with their computers, etc. You won't need a work permit for a job ehlping an individual.

Odds are it is either a fuse or the seat motor is bad. Check the fuse first before you consider changing the motor.
