Cosmetology schools/colleges in Colorado.?
My mom and I were talking about a school, that I can go to while im in high school, to get a license in Cosmetology. I really want to work with hair, and nails, and make-up like that, for a living. Im fifteen years young, and currently living in Colorado; around the danver and Aurora area. (I know there are certain hours required to get your license, depending on the state). I have no insurance, in colorado, what do I do?
First off, I have recently turned 18. Right now im living in the Arvada Area, soon to be moving down in the Aurora region; only to to go to college up in Greeley. Here is my dilemma, I have a very controlling mother, one who has screwed me over insurance wise. I would ask my dad who has kaiser; i've been I cannot receive Kaiser anyways because when i'm in greeley; there is no kaiser up there. This is what I have researched and been told by three people so this is am assumption rather than a set answer. I would ask my father for help. The problem is, he has Kaiser. so that's not going to work. I haven't been able to get an appointment with CIPI (i think that's the right spelling) or CHP+. I'm tired of my mom controlling this, I need to see a doctor for a physical, checkup, and something else. For those who are wondering for health purposes, it has nothing to do with pregnancy. Rather back and other bone like pains. Where can I apply? I make less that 25,000 a year, will be giving a two weeks notice soon. What can I do and where can I go.

Kaiser is a network plan, and when you have Kaiser, you HAVE to use the Kaiser network. Colorado's child Medicaid - welfare health insurance, automatically stops the day you turn 18. Once your'e 18, you have to apply for ADULT Medicaid. Colorado does NOT give welfare health insurance - Medicaid - to non-disabled adults. To be considered disabled, you have to be on SSDI - federal disability. I'd suggest you either pay cash for the doctor visit - which should be under $200, affordable since you're living with mom - or when you look for your new job, you need to find one that offers health insurance benefits. Keep in mind, you also have to PAY for some of the cost. It would be almost impossible for your 'very controlling mother' to screw you over, health insurance wise. If you're demanding that she buys it for you, she has no obligation to do that, since you're an adult. For MY children, if they want me to support them, they have to follow my house rules, regardless of how old they are. When they decide to not follow the rules and leave the nest, then mamabird doesn't have to take responsibility for them any more. That's part of being a grownup. And a bit more advice . . . I'd think long and hard, before quitting a job to move somewhere else, unless you already have a BETTER job lined up there.

Can I sell this car even though I'm making payments?
I bought this car, a 95 Oldsmobile Aurora, and two weeks later it isn't running at all. A mechanic told me it was going to cost a couple thousand to fix, and I don't have the money for that. I'm making $200/mo payments for the next two years, but my money goes to the dealer, and I found out that it doesn't affect my credit at all, which is why I agreed to the payments in the first place! The dealer will not fix my car, and has screened all calls and even called the police on us when we went to confront him. I want to get rid of this car, and I want out of the payments. And frankly, a small girl like me doesn't need a v8 engine just to get to work and school. Does anybody know how I can get out of this situation? If it helps, I know the car is registered in my name, and the only thing preventing me from stopping the payments is the dealer will tow my car back, and I will lose out on a $1000 down payment.

Yes it will affect your credit and you need to continue making payments. Otherwise, you will lose your car. The size of the engine has nothing to do with any of this.

You can't transfer the title because you don't hold it. Therefore, you can't legally sell it to someone else. Unfortunately, you bought a 15-year old piece of junk. Did you have it looked at by a mechanic *before* buying it? Sorry, but I think you're stuck with it.

You can't sell it because it doesn't actually belong to you until it is paid off. If there are still payments on it,it belongs to the dealer. Of course it affects your credit. Any time you don't make payments on money that you owe,it affects your credit. You paid almost $6,000 for a 15 year old car? They saw you coming. You paid way too much.

Can anyone help me make a program. I have sort of a problem I go to a online high school called e academy its learning system is Aurora learning if any of you are familiar with it, so anyways i am very behind on some of my work cause i am training a dog that i have to spend 24/7 with and i have to help my dad build a house so i need some help building a program. When i log onto my school say in onto history it gives me a page to go to and read then it gives me multiple choice or it tells me to write something. So I have this question in my school work that goes like this: "A motorcycle breaks down FIVE KM from its destination. You use 400 N for the entire 60 minutes that it takes you to push this motorcycle to its destination. How powerful were you? How many Watts?" It doesn't make sense to me. Can someone answer this question and show how you arrived at your answer? I want to know the steps to figure it out so I'll be able to do it myself. I am 30 years old and I must say that every day it seems like living in America gets harder and harder. I agree with the other answer about Kohl's. I have been working overnights there for a little over 5 years doing ad set, truck unloading, and merchandising. My starting wage was $9.75/hour and currently I make $12.81/hour. There is a Kohl's location in Aurora and another in Wheaton, according to the Kohl's Web site.

My sister has been home schooled for 7 year's now.And says that's the best choice she ever made. My mom used the K-12 program. Or you can google electronic DVDs for your computer which is a DIGITAL teacher teaching you. I don't know how much the dvd is and the k-12 programs prices vary. You could also go to a school store and get your own math work books and other subjects that follow your local high school curriculum. Theirs so many possibility's. Just have to find them.Sorry I do not know any that are solely in Illinois and I hope this helps in some way.

Need a title for a story I am writing?
So the story is about a girl named Aurora Ash, who lives in a restricted area for "second world" people like vampires, werewolves, etc. She is best friends with a werewolf boy named Bane and she likes him eventually but since she's just human she wants to go to a human high school, shes going to be a junior, and then her mother who is psychic tells her that things couldn't work out between her and Bane so she starts to doubt that they could and for a while Bane and her start to grow apart even though Bane has told her several times that he loves her, so yeah in this story its the girl who has issues about saying I love you instead of the guy. But then when Bane saves her from a vampire even after she was such a jerk to him she decidedes she has to tell him how she feels and what happened with her mom and stuff. They end up happily ever after evetually, there are alot more details but It's too much to type in here. But one of the other most important things is that Bane father who raised him is'nt really his biological father, but his biological father is his 'fathers' older brother. So sorry if that didn't make a lot of sense but any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks in advance. :D

Well, the age limit here in Ohio is 16. I'm not sure if it's the same in Denver. I've had friends though that have been 15 years old and worked at McDonalds. All you can really do is go around and ask.

I'm currently attending online college for my Associates of Science in Information Technology. I'm considering furthering my education into a Bachelors Degree. But I'm still a year off from graduating. So my question is this: How beneficial will my associates degree be in getting a better job in a better location. I am planning to move in/near/around either Colorado Springs, Aurora, or Denver Colorado. So I will be near a big city. What should I expect? Also, can I use my degree on my resume as a way to get a job? Even though I am not finished. I know I need to mention it in my resume I am working on my degree, but can it be used now as something that potential employers will view as a good thing. 3rd Question: Got a job for me!?!?! Jking. Side Note: I have experience in the general field of computers. Part time help on a school districsts technologist. So, basically I am getting a degree on stuff I've been doing for awhile now. I am allways looking to better my financial situation, particularly how much I make working. Yet, whatever web sight government, stores, or web employment services I go into for the Chicago area; there are few or no jobs listed south and west, unless you want to drive for hours to get there. It seems to me, that with the price of gasoline, driving too far to work far from home is stupid and cost-prohibitive. I am not even going to consider applying for a job more than 15 miles away in the Chicago area. The reasons are many: 1) People need sleep. 2) Working far away takes up too much time spent in the car going to and from work. 3) Driving far causes stress during peak traffic times and is 4) harzardous to my health. So, why do the news papers all think we want to work near Wrigley Field in yuppie town? There's no where to park. It costs too much in travel expenses. Where are all the job listings for south and southwest Cook County? Why travel to Joliet, Shamburg, Deer Field, Aurora?

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores. Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

I live in the city of Aurora, IL. It’s a suburb of Chicago and one of the biggest cities in Illinois. I worked cab for a year before I quit, I made decent money for a 20 year old (now 21). I want to start my own cab company and Aurora would be great seeing that the city is only getting bigger. I want to know any advise on how to start one and what would I need to do. I know I need a permit and insurance anything else? Thanks how much can one make having my own business? I know its a repost i had to edit some stuff. Any advise is great thanks

You are right about getting a city business permit and the insurance with I would imagine be pretty high. You must also get the cabs and outfit them with meters, the safety bar between the driver and the passengers if you so desire. You must also have a garage of some type to house your cabs as well as a central place to accept inbound calls for your services. You must also decide the commission you want to pay your drivers or rent the taxis to them on a daily basis. Then there is the un-employment insurance that must be paid You must then screen and hire the drivers insure they have the proper insurance and don't have a criminal record.
